Olympic Jewelry
After operating his own jewelry store in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul for 28 years, our founder, Edward Basoglu, moved to Seattle and opened Olympic Jewelry in 1979. His daughter Jizel began working with him in 1983. Jizel’s son Michael now owns and operates the store alongside her.
As a young boy, Michael used to clean the glass at the shop and run simple errands. Michael is the 3rd generation owner at Olympic, and a 5th generation jeweler on his mother's side of the family.
